Chain Tensioner

NC-17 DH/4 Cross chain tensioner: As long as frame manufacturers fail to integrate chain guides with their DH frames, we will continue to develop NC-17 chain tensioners. There are many systems out there now, but only one winner.

The NC-17 Tensioner uses two guides to keep the chain running true- using sealed cartridge bearings and specially formulated rubber to keep the rolling resistance and noise to a minimum. The body of the Tensioner is made from 7075- T6 aluminium to keep the weight down but is supplemented at high stress areas with high grade steel.

The Tensioner is available for standard, compact drive, 4 arm cranks and in ISCG.

The Stinger 1 arm Tensioner represents a minimalist alternative using the same
7075 T6 alloy, sealed cartridge bearings and special compund rubber to keep things light and running smoothly.

If you want a seriously cool look then you can go for a Lexan disk rather than the standard Aluminium disk.  For cost reasons we only produce the Lexan disk in one size (4 bolt, 104mm). The Stinger 1 arm Tensioner represents a reasonable alternative. Our Tensioner is standardized

NC-17 Dewlie Dual Slalom for 2 chain rings

If shifting is required, the one and only choice is the Dewlie. It offers protection and guidance for two chain rings. Takes chain rings of 32 to 38 teeth.

New 05/2007

We created a small 26 teeth and a 38 teeth chainring with shifting ramps to achieve the best cadence. To use a rock ring as outer chainring is optional. The rock ring is included in delivery with the NC-17 tensioner.
