Thomas and Marc (NC-17 Engineer) nice working day on a new sexy Pro-Pedal 2018. Coming very soon.
Just in time for the start of the season, the editorial team of World of MTB presents the most important technology trends of the still young biking season with its special issue “Best of”. Again, NC-17 has plenty of reason to celebrate. Three times, the designs of NC-17 founder Udo Ochendalski honored for quality and functionality as “Best Product 2018”. Among the chosen ones are classics like novices: the legendary Sudpin IV S-Pro pedals, the chain tensioner “lead and follow” and the new universal holder 3D for smartphones. The NC-17 team appreciates the “Best Product 2018” recognition – it confirms our daily work to develop outstanding and unique bike parts for our MTB and material enthusiastic friends. The World of MTB magazine will be available from February. An exciting read for the next bike project.

While we were looking for a place to start the bike season, we found something interesting in the Atlantic Ocean. Madeira is more than just an island, and destination for tourists, which are transported from sight to sight. The Portuguese flower island, with an area of approximately 750km² is not large, but it has everything to offer a mountain bikers heart is looking for.
From desert-like and free burned landscapes over rocky, rooty and flowy trails to very narrow, jungle-like single trails everybody finds his favorite. Via Shuttle you can enjoy the Trail-diversity of the island very well. Above Jardim do Mar you find the Redline, the Blackline and the Fox Trail – build by Bikulture.
In the northern part of the island, above the capital Funchal, is a downhill slope, and many more single trails or even steep Vertride’s. To the west of Madeira, the trails are getting narrow like a jungle. Furthermore, the North-West has some beautiful viewpoints and natural wonders to offer. Who is not yet convinced, has the opportunity to attend at one of the many Enduro or
Downhill race.

Party Hard – Ride Even Harder
After a boozy night out, the two Bat Boys Bernd & Bam awake on the abandoned NATO base above Finale Ligure. Like bats, they have spent the night upside down. Now it’s time to shake the blood back from the head to the feet and groove back down to civilization.

The combination of Western-Alps and the Ligurian-Sea combines everything to make the Freeriders heart beating faster. The beautiful destination at the Palms Riviera in northern Italy offers about 100km finest and varied trails. Even after 7 extensive shuttle days the guides suprise you with new incredible tracks. A long time ago the Romans were busy in buildung numerous paths through the forests sorrounding Finale Ligure. Probably they never thougt, that their work will last so many generations. Old Paths’ transformed into flowy single trails. The companies, which have to do with the bike business, had to merge togetherinto one union, in order to maintain the big trail network. The style of the trails range from soft forest terrain to rocky, almost blocked paths and of course everything in between.[Official Website: Finale Ligure]
